A few days ago Allods Online blew out another birthday candle. It hasn’t always been a bed of roses, as some of you know. But you also know that we have always valued your feedback, and that we have always had at heart a desire to work with you to make the game great.
This has always made Allods Online in Europe a unique community, with countless example of this strong bond between you and your Game Masters: Free quests, demilitarised mounts, you name it…

 

Once, you told us that the mechanics of gaining Patronage 5 weren’t acceptable. And to make clear to you that your Game Masters and Mail.ru were in agreement, we posted an announcement stating loud and clear that we vetoed it based on lack of consideration for our communities’ needs.

 

That was yet another time we stood up for what matters to you and that’s how we have always ensured that the game evolved and that mechanics were revised. … Let’s look at what’s changed since that announcement:

 

1. First of all, the veto brought the developers back to the endgame content to rebalance and readjust, taking into account the lack of Patronage 5. We’ve played without it for months now, and could keep it this way for as long as we wished, since this patronage is purely optional and unnecessary to unlock our game content.

2. Second, we have introduced the Currency Exchange, where you can exchange your gold into Boutique Coins and vice versa. This player controlled market feature is truly unique to Allods Online, giving players the power to access any boutique content they wish for in game gold, without relying on other players to use the boutique first and then distribute the items via the auction house or in game trades. It is a feature of convenience and freedom and was developed specifically with our players in mind.

3. And finally, the mechanic of earning Patronage 5 has been completely revised by the developers after considering all of the feedback brought forward, knowing full well that we were willing to reject any proposal that didn’t meet community needs.

 

 

So what is this new Patron 5 system?

 

Coming from the initial draft you can see how much it has improved thanks to you. Russian players have already experienced this system and given extremely positive feedback, so let’s take a look at key facts:

 

Patronage 5 is no longer an all-or-nothing buff – Now you can enjoy 2 hours of Patronage 5 for every 100 symbols you collect.

 

o The Patron Elixir buff works exactly like the permanent buff, and lasts for 2 hours of game time, this means the timer will not count down if you are logged out or logged into a different character.

o Each Box has a chance to drop 10, 20, 30, 40 or 50 symbols. The chance to drop each amount is equal, so each box drops on average 30 symbols.

o This ratio means that the Patron Elixir will activate on average once every 3.3 boxes.

o Each box on the RU servers costs 15 Ruble, which is equal to approximately 38 cents. We will be matching this, and offering each Patron Chest for 38 gPotato.

o This means each Patron Elixir buff would cost, on average, 125 gPotato, considering it is a boost towards damage and healing, and is contributing towards a permanent buff, this is in fact a better offer than our current Potent Elixirs, or even our Crystal Chips.

o This is an Elixir style buff that can eventually become permanent and applies not only to your Progenitor, but all his/her incarnations, and vice versa.

o You have access to this buff from level 30 and above, and can choose when to activate it once you have collected 100 symbols, simply visit the quest NPC at the capital city of your faction to activate!

 

Now let’s take a closer look at Patron buffs and how they affect game mechanics

o FREE No Patron – +0% damage/healing
o FREE Patron 1 – +50% damage/healing
o FREE Patron 2 – +100% damage/healing
o FREE Patron 3 – +150% damage/healing
o FREE Patron 4 – +200% damage/healing
o OPTIONAL Patron 5 – +250% damage/healing

 

This means that if you have a base damage of 1500 per hit, you would see the following increase:

o No Patron – 1500 per hit – 0% increase
o Patron 1 – 2250 per hit – 50% increase
o Patron 2 – 3000 per hit – 33% increase
o Patron 3 – 3750 per hit – 25% increase
o Patron 4 – 4500 per hit –20% increase
o Patron 5 – 5250 per hit –16.7% increase

 

This is roughly equivalent to upgrading your three attack runes from level 2 to level 4.

 

Because this is so different from how Patronage 5 was originally implemented, we understand that it can be difficult to envision how this will be practically applied and appreciated by the players, but let’s do some rough math for you. First you need to think if you really need to use that effect and when, if ever, you even need it. Then it all comes to balance between costs or time, as gold buys you everything you see in the boutique, and gold is ultimately time.

 

So let’s say you want this Patronage 5th at no real cost at all. Once reaching maximum level, put aside 300 gold per day. The random component of the chest will grant you the permanent effect of Patronage within 3months for the luckiest to 9 months in the most pessimistic projection.

 

Don’t let me forget to remind you that all the while you’ll already be experiencing the benefit from the temporary effect of the Patron Elixir Buff? It seems I might also have forgotten to mention that those figures don’t take into account all the happy hour events, discounts in boutique, events that award these chests as prizes and therefore will reduce even more that average countdown…

 

So now…we have taken the time to tell you how your developers have designed a new system they hoped would be more suitable to the style of gameplay that Europeans enjoy, and now I’ve taken the time to explain why I felt that the landscape of the game economy and the design of the feature itself was so wholly different that, even though it bore the same name and ultimately gave the same effect, it was worth introducing to you again.

 

But ultimately, that doesn’t matter, because you have made your voices heard again and I want you to know that we are ever attentive and careful with what you want. So Patron Chests will not appear in the boutique this weekend. Instead, each of you will be asked to carefully consider this new mechanic and vote in our official forums on whether not it will appear on your servers.

 

Each community will be treated separately and their decisions respected. The poll will open Friday afternoon, and close on Monday evening, thank you for your careful consideration on the topic.

21615 GP x 8.5 Gold (NPC exchanger) = 183727 Gold + 30980 GoldDust (in Gold) =
214707 Gold = 21615 GP + 3778 GoldDust (in GP via NPC exchanger) = 25393 GP = 250 EU

 

* The Rune cost is for this weekend with a 15% discount on the CC.


PAT5 38GP/Box:
333 Box x 38 GP = 12654 GP x 8.5 Gold = 107559 Gold = 125 EU

PAT5 50GP/Box:

And this is for an average allods player with lvl7 attack runes that was thinking on upping the runes atm and ofc as u will go for higher runes 8-10 9-11 or 12-13 the cost is increasing so i personaly don't think PAT5 is bad as itself.

Upping lvl 7's to lvl 9's is +20 pp, not +20%

In percentage it's closer to +12%

Sry but my English maybe not so good that i made it clear and i did put in () the rune dmg.

The idea was that many ppl start saying omg omg to much $ i just wanted to point out the fact that runes cost to and in some cases PAT5 is cheaper then upping u'r runes to get the same dmg.

i think that pool was bad idea ppl voting, witch price/cost in mind, ofc everyone wants pat5 even who is crying here will clap his hands later if pat5 comes. but i belive not everyone agree witch price and cost of it, so pool was a fail, or at least gms should make 2 pools, one if we want pat5, 2nd if we agree witch price/cost to get it.  just my 2 cents :d and i belive somone have say this already.

and for the ppl, that complain about gold, just think and make calc how mutch gold they spend on stupid and useless costumes. lets see how mutch dps they get now from that costumes.

Hello My Dear Allods Online Producer. 

First and foremost, the text explaining this and that at lengths seems like its afraid/pretending to speak openly, with also being poorly constructed,rough and non-explanatory as it should plainly be.

Seems as if  the producers don't give enough credit/attention to the game, its players, and God-Damned perfect quality the game possesses. Could be that you re not being interested/dirrected  in what is  Allods, its well-being and longevity. That cuts game life-spawn, and cash income as well to go with it. Think of it.

Regardless of that fact, moving on to the subject at hand : 

Patronage lv 5

Here is how Allods online would need Patronage lv 5 

Active in PvE, Disabled in PvP

Put any price you want for it, but implement it for PvE purposes, as in PvP things are in relative balance how things stand at the moment. Implementing it to PvP would again proceed to make a gap between players as in the old lv 47 quest.

The game currently offers more then enough power trough paying means to those wishing to be dominating over non paying players. There is no need in rights mind to expand that gap further dear producers, you have my word, and of manny others to come or old players, that il forget about this wonderfull dream called Allods Online, should you make a wrong Judgement in the comming days, with not forgeting you ve made few wrongs in the past as well.

 And so all of you can enjoy crafting lv 13 runes, obtaining lv 5 patronage and go hit thin air all day long, who knows perhaps even that gives satisfaction. 

Remember, as things stand, paying player vs non paying player is allods current state. We fight them, we give them pleasure of both them being able to nuke us, as well as ressisting and fighting back, and that is what drives us the most, the rune system, i never had doubts or problems with it, it is sole reason why i play, to show some skill using relative normal rune lvs with few of other game  bonuses applied. IT keeps us going, But, make that river too deep, and we l never cross it, and we re off.

Also hereby, a few words for Strongest Imperial/League Guild Leaders : You are a Disgrace, most of all for doing it to so much perfect game of Allods online and its all players. Being where you are, gives you something more, than that. 

Pray gods we dont meet ever in our lifes, as id bloody my hands and gladly serve jail time.

In recent months 90% of ppl in smaller guild migrated to bigger guild, and this was a serious shot for the game, many people are already demotivated, don't destroy even more our permanence in this game

I've seen on the official forum that 67 people have voted yes, but who is this ppl? everyone knows....67 ppl from astral riders and from monster inc....you are the disgrace of this server!!!! play only for your guild and for your dirty interest, and other ones for you are only s*** (and try to say otherwise)

The release of Guild Wars 2 and Diablo 3 is leading most people to leave the game, in this way, you will destroy the reputation that you have made for years and those few who wanted to stay, will run away

I think if this patronagewill be only for shoppers at the end with the next patch to play Allods Online there will be 10 players per faction

Am i the only one who noticed the 300 gold a day thingy, This is proberly based on bout coin seller. Since thats based on the amount bought/sold each time prizes will go up alot if people will farm for the boxes.

Its fun when gm's base things on the current economics and not on the future.

 

Tbh i think pat 5 wil ruin the game for whats left of it.

I would buy if p5 was around 10 gpot per box (between 20-100€, average 50-60€), but never for 38 gpot, with current price you are offering  I can buy 2 new game that more than 50% MMO players was waiting for + can do other things.

 Game is already P2W and with p5 dont even need to play endgame content(I mean PvP mi JC bg...) for normal players that sometimes with free money top up gpotato like me.

Important note : Patronage lv 5 id accept any day in pvp ac fights should we get a chance to fight god damned similar runed players, both sides have fun, not farm. Gm, one gm, who is here in game, check it out. Its damaging health of the game greatly, Should you deem this worth taking time looking into, make a thread and let the people discus it.

Figure it out god dammit.
